I have a lot of quirks. One of them is my obsession with making a great bow. You would not believe how many times I tie and untie bows, trying to make them perfect. Or how I study what I consider to be great bows made by crafters and attempt to dissect what makes them fab.
It's silly, I know, but I'm going to own it. And share a new card with one of my finest bow specimens. :)

My inspiration for this card was a plate of Christmas cookies left out for Santa on Christmas Eve. The great sentiment tag comes from Elle's Studio and the buttons (a/k/a cookies) are a mix from Bo Bunny and Papertrey Ink.

Over at the JBS Inspiration blog today I'm adding my piece to the Christmas garland. So far there are 10 pieces to the garland and they would all make great ornaments, package embellishments or holiday decor. You can check it out here and hopefully find some ideas to try.
I've also revised my Halloween pinwheel idea for Christmas. I used the new line of Christmas papers from Jenni Bowlin to create these decorations for the mantle. Since the paper is double-sided, they'd also look great hanging in a cluster. Or maybe as as a tree topper.
I glittered up some JB chipboard stars and embellished the centers of each. I really love how you can layer up JBS products and they all work so well together.
All of the supplies are available at JBS Mercantile, so do a little holiday shopping for yourself when you hop over to see the garland.

It's no secret...I like pretty paper and I like fun stamps. To me they are like wine and cheese. Peanut butter and jelly. Vodka and tonic. You get the picture. :)
When I was at CKC I picked up a few pieces of the new Basic Grey Picadilly paper and recently found myself using if for an unexpected project. I paired it up with stamps from the In the Meadow collection from Papertrey Ink to make a birthday card for someone special who loves hunting and the outdoors.
I was really excited with the unexpected combination and couldn't resist adding a little sparkle. For a frosty look on the tree, I lightly coated the stamped image with Glossy Accents and sprinkled on an iridescent glitter.
For a distressed look on the deer images, I stamped with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain ink. I even dug up my old photo corner punch for a fun accent to tie it all together.

Life has been fairly crazy lately...hence the lack of blogging and crafting. Hopefully this week will prove a little bit more productive on both fronts.
I wanted to share two more projects from my November Jenni Bowlin Mercantile gallery. First up is a travel layout that combines that main and artisan kits from JBS Mercantile.
I love that striped paper from the new Jenni Bowlin Red and Black extension line. And if you can't tell, I'm also loving the new Jenni Bowlin weather vane ink. Lots of stamping on this page!
I used a Technique Tuesday stamp set designed by Ali Edwards to create this collage of travel-related words. Then I added a little Jenni Bowlin Brown Sugar ink over top with an ink blending tool to give it a slightly distressed look.
And for good measure, I used some kit scraps to create post-holiday thank you cards. You'll find the red Jenni Bowlin alpha and ruled paper in the main kit and the fabulous gold leaves in the project kit.
