During the past year I've somehow become a big blog reader. I'm not sure how that happened. In fact, I'm not sure how it came to be that I have my own blog.

In any event, I thought I'd share a few of the blogs I enjoy reading. This may in fact be a glimpse into my soul... 

Amy Atlas Events:  A snapshot of the life of an event planner who specializes in amazing dessert tables. I must try these margarita cupcakes she suggested this week (recipe/source).

Mrs. O: A pictorial report detailing the daily fashions of the First Lady. Regardless of whether you love or hate the Obamas, the fabulousness of her wardrobe cannot be denied.

Six in the City: My current favorite! I love the story of this family. They packed up everything, left Colorado suburbia and transported their family of six to a three-bedroom apartment in NYC.

And, you know that I have to throw in at least one scrapbooking-related blog... right?

Just recently I ran across the Magpie Club blog (because they are fabulous sponsor at Candy Shoppe Designs this month). It's not just about scrapbooking (although their design team as some great ideas on the blog): they have a man of the month feature. That's enough to keep me reading right there.

a little craftiness

It's been a while, so I thought I'd offer up a little craftiness.

I may need an intervention. 

I have a serious addiction to vampire books. 

I have even resorted to reading teen lit and I must admit that it is pretty good.  But, there's nothing that compares to the real thing. 

I must go buy the new Sookie book today! Why didn't I take the day off?

Now that the craziness of National Scrapbook Day has calmed down, I though I'd tempt you with all of the great things going on at Candy Shoppe Designs. It's the place to be for inspiration and great blog candy!

dance like no one is watching

Yesterday one of my good friends was sworn into the Kansas bar. I had forgotten how long the swearing-in ceremony lasts. To be honest, it is rather boring.

I could have sworn that when I went through the ceremony, it seemed shorter and more entertaining. 

This time around we were trying to entertain ourselves, as well as the little ones that have joined our law school gang.

In doing so, I may have dropped my phone in the midst of the ceremony.

There may have been a gleeful shout when a Goldfish snack was produced. 

There also may have been dancing in the aisles as the Kansas Supreme Court justices held center stage.
